Michigan DNR Moves Fast and Effectively to Deal with CWD Report

Well...hmmm...not really. The Michigan DNR ran away from this like school girls that just saw a snake when the whiny deer-baiters showed up. The hunters complained that taking away their fantasized right to set bait and hunt over it violated some kind of natural order of something! Its been well proven that baiting of deer concentrates the deer on private lands during the hunting season and thus the total kill of the hunt goes down. This leads to higher concentrations of deer which, by simple logic, will create a situation where CWD spreads faster and wider. Smooth move Michigan DNR! Take a clue from us in Wisconsin. You need to eradicate as many deer as possible IMMEDIATELY and heavily, heavily fine any deer farm operator that has any CWD deer in their herd. We lost the battle here. CWD is still spreading rapidly and the DNR is sitting around looking at each other, blinking and picking their noses. We lost the battle against CWD here. Please don't let it travel further!

bryan, what battle are you talking about? Do you know the CWD case discovered in michigan was on a private fenced in ranch, with all other deer fine and the infected deer was not even a michigan deer. This ranch was in trouble and the only way out was this situation with caused panic. By now the ranch has been cut its insurance check and everything is great. You pussies out there do not even know what CWD is or understand it. This has only given the DNR a great program to ticket and fine all people baiting and make extra money. You need to read the reports from wisconsin and get the facts straight. By outlawing baiting the deer heard increases 18-20% every year. Cases of CWD have not increased. Get a clue and a life.
